Having conquered the music industry already, what else is left for Mark Ronson - brother of famed designer Charlotte Ronson and Lindsay Lohan's on-agian off-again girlfriend Samantha Ronson. The fashion industry of course. With his signature classic style, it seems only natural for the DJ and producer to venture into the creation of his own footwear line and I guess Gucci felt the same way. Gucci jumped on the bandwagon and got the music aficionado to collaborate with Frida Giannini on several syles of Gucci Ronsons for their upcoming series of sneakers-only pop-up shops. Taking clear inspiration from his own style and love of Band of Outsiders, the range is preppy, colorful, classic, and simply...Mark Ronson. Of the three styles that have been previewed - a chukka, a deck shoe, and a sneaker - they seem to be going in the perfect direction, touching on trends that have recently made a comeback. And while I'm sure any shoe lover will want a piece of the action, it might take a plane ride overseas to even get a touch as each new style will be released at each new pop-up on the tour - London, Berlin, Paris, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. Set to retail for $500 to $600 at Gucci Icon-Temporary pop-ups this fall, the first is set to open in NYC in October. And this just gives us another reason to love Mark Ronson.
