Collection Report | Henrik Vibskov A/W 09

After confusing everyone with a tame piece that is nothing if not wearable, Henrik Vibskov is back to his old way...and we like it like that. So often do designers keep things safe, and although their is nothing wrong with that sometime it is refreshing to see someone finding the humor in the fashion industry, and that is something that Vibskov has capitalized on. Entitled 'The Human Laundry Service", Vibskov seems to have thrown patterns, fabric, and colors into a washer machine and the outcome is what we see now. While he presents some knitwear that catches my attention as wearable, most of the collection is so outrageous that only if you have the utmost confidence can you pull it off. In other words, don't try. No where in DC would these designs be appropriate. But that's the Vibskov aesthetic...and its fun to look, right?
