Paris Fashion Week | Jean-Charles de Castelbajac Spring 2010

Paris Fashion Week | Gareth Pugh Spring 2010

Much more tamed than his initial debut, Gareth Pugh's latest collection still struck a cord and was our inspiration for this 'Black Issue'. Edge doesn't do the collection justice...more like baleful or ghastly. Slim silhouettes enhance the dark color palette that even still carries a strong focus to suiting pieces. Who knew skin-tight leather and suiting could co-exist? Sheer tops are present that are billowy and soft, yet hard as ever. Going against the grain, corsets make an appearance that usher in a structured opinion while outerwear and blazers offer much to be discussed. Fearless, the collection is actually wearable and will, without doubt, bring you lots of attention. Focus on the outerwear and bring such inspiration into your own wardrobe, you can't go wrong.
