I couldn't be more filled with joy thanks to the announcement that one of my favorite stores is branching out to print. That's right, fashion boutique, b store, will be launching their very own magazine. Coincidentally(I think not) titled 'b magazine', the 100 page publication will be launching in the nick of time, September 23, just in time for third London Fashion Week Catwalk Show. I just pray that they won't disappoint, and with the entire b Store inventory at their beck and call, how could they.

Book Report | apartamento Magazine - Atelier de la Petite Enfance

In recent months we have heard a lot about Spanish magazine apartamento. Taking a completely new approach in the interior design magazine market, they try to capture real interiors and real people - a very intruiging and much needed approach. Finally an interiors magazine that one can relate to.

Today we had the opportunity to flip through their new issue 3, the Spring/Summer 2009 issue. Already the feel and quality of the magazine make a statement by themselves and the content follows that feel of quality 100%. We came across a very interesting article, an interview with A.P.C. founder and designer Jean Touitou. The designer talked about his latest venture - the opening of a kindergarten in Paris, named A.P.E. or Aterlier de la Petite Enfance.

“After 20 years spent in the fashion industry I wanted to touch at last on something related to civilization.” - Jean Touitou.

It is only one of many great articles in the magazine, that we can highly recommend!

Karl Lagerfeld, the Diva?!?!

Not that it comes as much of a surprise, but Karl Lagerfeld is apparently a diva. No shit! Former scorned assistant Arnaud Maillard turned author has written a tell-all book in which she describes in detail all of the Kaiser's bitchy antics, one which includes Pepsi in Baccarat crystal preceding his arrival. While the book - newly translated for Lagerfel's native Germany - is unavailable in the States, Der Spiegel has a Q&A—in English—with Maillard. And while I doubt she has anything worth telling that we don't already know, or assume, its worth a read.

Magazine | Terry Richardson Post "Bale" for GQ

GQ Magazine obviously favors celebrities over models, as with every issue another celebrity is featured. Would we rather see real models getting work? Yes. Do we mind? No.

As long as we continue to have other magazines to go to for our editorial needs, GQ will continue to be a favorite of mind. Check out these photos of Christian Bale for the cover story of the next issue and check out the rest after the jump.

Paul Smith for RHODIA 75th Anniversary Notebooks

The “cool kids” rock moleskins. Real m’f'ers rock Rhodia all day - No.16 to be precise. Paul Smith knows this as well which is why they have teamed with Rhodia to celebrate the French brand’s 75th anniversary with a set of special designer edition notebooks. Founded in Lyon, France in 1934, Rhodia has become a standard notebook in European households and beyond for decades. the collaborative notebooks with Paul Smith feature the standard orange as as well a black edition with various designs on the covers.

The black Paul Smith covers for Rhodia have my name written all over them. I’m sold. Look for them at the end of May. 5×5 graph paper runs.
