New York Fashion Week | Michael Bastian Spring 2010

Vast and able, Michael Bastian continues in his ode for perfection in a wide variety of formats with his spring 2010 collection. Inspired by the way Latin men blend machismo and emotion, Bastian gives way to an aesthetic that has always been there but only now being proclaimed. With notable pieces that include beach-bum cutoffs with boxer shorts showing out underneath and a braid-trimmed jacket in natural canvas(this showcases the variety), Bastian exudes masculinity that remains accessible. Glimpses of nostalgia are there while formalwear, beachwear, and much more reign prevalent. The collection is all over the place, to say the least, but joins together in the contrast that is formal and casual. Michael Bastian is open for business.
