Versace delivers a different aesthetic than most with their S/S 2010 collection of remote, Middle Eastern inspired clothes. With silhouettes unlike any this year, they offer sheer tops and trousers, all billowy, baggy, and relaxed instead of fit. With a very much neutral colour base, the collection evokes images of the desert in the simplicity that is ever present this season in Milan. Outerwear accompanies, but doesn't overshadow, the other pieces with a subtle militaristic mood carried by with tassels and shape. And the accessories are dominated by pocket-bags and large-oversized ones. We must say, Versace impresses this season.
