Exclusive Report | kiD GQ's 10 Essentials

Taking inspiration from fashion guru Men.style's "Fashion Essentials", I found it essential to let you all in on those items that I can't live without. Essentials are those items that keep you looking effortlessly stylish throughout the day, help maintain your productivity, and have somewhat become synonymous with you. We all have them, and now for your viewing pleasure here are kiD GQ's 10 Essentials:

This may be my most important thing on the list. Though many prefer higher end tees, I like to keep it real with the original, Hanes. Their v-neck style is the perfect tee, has a perfect v-neck cut, fits perfectly, and is slightly then with a heavy appearance.

What makes a trench coat an essential piece? What doesn't make a trench coat an essential piece is an easier question to answer. Nothing. Easily used as a layering piece, or main jacket, it can easily transition between casual and dressy. Furthermore, its season proof. Thin enough to be worn during the spring and summer nights, water resistant, thick enough for the fall and can be layered for the winter. Its pretty much the ultimate buy.

Another season proof item that can transition seamlessly between casual and dress wear. You can easily throw on a tuxedo with a pair of ruffled boat shoes, or keep it comfy and casual with shorts and a tee - the choice is yours. Plus, they come in multiple colors and styles so you can easily get a pair to go with anything. If that is not recession proof spending, I dont know what is.

Though Rolex may lead in the luxury manufacturing of watches, Movado is not far behind. And nothing adds the icing on top of the cake like a quality watch that will catch everyone's attention. Sort of like that one piece that keeps old Hollywood glamour alive. How Sinatra of you?

How else would I deliver to you all the latest fashion reviews throughout the District without a MacBook. And with a jetsetting lifestyle like mine - if being Metro bound is considered jetsetting - the lightweight MacBook Air couldn't be a better choice.

Never know when a Kodac moment will present itself, so just to be on the safe side I always travel with my HP Precision Digital Camera. Easy to use, it provides professional photographs for a photography eliterate like myself.

Like most accessories, they pull together clothes and make them an outfit. And whether im wearing something more detailed, or a simple white v-neck and jeans, a pageboy hat will always take it to the next level and equal out the look. Plus, bad hair days. Yes, even men have those.

Im a self professed Blackberry addict. Need I say more. Its my life and without it I literally would get nothing done. I get emails, my calendar, and so much more. And with blackberry's, you cant get better than the Bold. The iphone may be the new it thing, but im sticking with the always reliable blackberry.

Bags are becoming an essential in menswear, very much like a purse is essential for women. It seems like a quality and stylish backpack is the best choice these days. Holdalls can often become a burden while messenger bags are just not cool - not to mention uncomfortable. And if your gonna do a backpack, do oversized. It will avoid you looking like a purse carrying man. For those skeptical, you can call it a backpack, bag, or whatever you have it. It only becomes a "man bag" or "purse" once you start carrying "products". Not cool.

Made in Italy, Ive yet to see anyone in America with these. Slightly larger than usual wayfarers, they add a splash of fun with a gold strip across the top. Very classic, with the wayfarer style, yet current.
