Milan Fashion Week | Burberry Prorsum S/S 2010

Christopher Bailey likes to keep Burberry as timeless as possible, and he succeeds every time. While the aesthetic remains the same this season, details are what differentiate it from past collection. A bit outrageous, in a calm and mannered tone, the collection includes "barely there" uses of animal print, bondage straps, and unique fabrics. The 'always there' overcoat is present and light with subtle tones of pastel and metallic. And though the collection is relatively boring, its that classic aesthetic that keeps Burberry as a top brand that remains accessible to the masses and will carry it through these tough economic times.
