When taking a look at the shoes that make up this footwear collection, the last name that came to mind is Phillip Lim. From the designer who is committed to going a bit over-dramatic with details that include studded collars and geometric patterns, Phillip Lim's debut footwear collection is restrained, to say the least, from his usual designer aesthetic. And while this may seem like a bad review, oh the contrary, we prefer simple when it comes to our feet and when living in the nation's capital where government is at the forefront, simple seems to always be best. The desert boot-inspired Meaden has to be our favorite, which shares the minimalism that one sees from Common Projects.
