Exclusive Report | Harvard University Menswear

Here is something you can file under "never crossed my mind", the Ivy League dabbing in the fashion industry. You've read that right, Harvard Yard has collaborated with Harvard University and private tailoring manufacturer Wearwolf Group to create a collection that is the essence of its namesake - Harvard University. Based on classic cliches of Ivy League, the collection is in itself American. Expect khakis, loafers, collegiate ties, button-downs, vest, and everything in between. While this sounds like a match made in hell, the preview doesn't look half bad, and while its nothing fresh the suiting components feature interesting nostalgic patterns and its great to see clothing actually worn correctly and fit properly. While no price points have been announced as of yet, I would expect Ivy League prices to match the Ivy League name so while I don't whole heartily recommend the collection, I do recommend becoming inspired by what they offer. And if nothing, this collection begs the question - when will the likes of Georgetown University, George Washington University, American University, and Catholic University of America start their own clothing ranges? Expect designer priest-wear in stores near you soon! More from the preview after the jump.

Accessories Report | Rike Feurstein Berlin Winter 09/10

If your a regular reader of kiD GQ then without a doubt you are well aware of my hat fetish. I collect them, wear them, love them, and care for them. In fact, Ive even got an entire section of my closet dedicated to my ever expanding hat collection. With that being said, it should come as no surprise that Rike Feurstein Berlin Winter 09/10 collection caught my eye. With hats that are reminiscent of the Mad Men era, Berlin gives them it a twist by adding trends that we have spotted in previous seasons and will joyously accept their return. Bringing the athletic side out of me, he included equestrian inspired head gear that is texturized with typical material of the type. Simple, the gray hat makes a statement in itself just being the style hat it is. Add a bit of an animalistic color palette and modernize it with a beanie...the result - Rike Feurstein Berlin Winter 09/10 Collection. Hats can very much complete an incomplete look, and with fall and winter quickly coming our way, head gear is not only a fashion statement but also a practicality of life. So stock up now, and remember functionality can always be fashionable. More views...

Collection Report | Tween A/W 2009

Tween needs to be praised for their A/W 09 collection, and I will gladly be the person to deliver it to them. With a fierce professional design aesthetic, they created a collection that seems to put quality first, as evident at the appearance of each and every piece. They developed a look that is equally professional as it fashion forward, which is something that we rarely get. With clean and straight-forward silhouettes, outerwear takes the forefront with asymmetric cuts, clean and showy patterns, and a varied use of material. Trousers are present throughout and feature the same straight-leg trend that we discussed on Washingtonian. To put it simply, the collection is perfection. This is how every man on Capitol Hill and K Street should and can dress. Expect to see the entire collection in my closet soon. More views after the jump.

Shoe Report | Gucci Ronsons

Having conquered the music industry already, what else is left for Mark Ronson - brother of famed designer Charlotte Ronson and Lindsay Lohan's on-agian off-again girlfriend Samantha Ronson. The fashion industry of course. With his signature classic style, it seems only natural for the DJ and producer to venture into the creation of his own footwear line and I guess Gucci felt the same way. Gucci jumped on the bandwagon and got the music aficionado to collaborate with Frida Giannini on several syles of Gucci Ronsons for their upcoming series of sneakers-only pop-up shops. Taking clear inspiration from his own style and love of Band of Outsiders, the range is preppy, colorful, classic, and simply...Mark Ronson. Of the three styles that have been previewed - a chukka, a deck shoe, and a sneaker - they seem to be going in the perfect direction, touching on trends that have recently made a comeback. And while I'm sure any shoe lover will want a piece of the action, it might take a plane ride overseas to even get a touch as each new style will be released at each new pop-up on the tour - London, Berlin, Paris, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. Set to retail for $500 to $600 at Gucci Icon-Temporary pop-ups this fall, the first is set to open in NYC in October. And this just gives us another reason to love Mark Ronson.

Style | Wallet Alternative

One of my biggest pet-peeves is the sight of a big bulging back pocket. Thanks to the horrid, thick leather wallets that seem to be a staple of "manhood", these bulges come to light. While pockets are meant to hold items such as wallets, etc., they were never meant to bulge out in this fashion. Not only is it completely unsafe - especially living in a pick-pocketer's haven such as DC - but it also goes against the laws of fashion. That is were this Limoland by Isaac Reina cardholder comes into play. The perfect size to go unnoticed in any pocket, the thin traditional-wallet alternative is all about color. If you are going to go haywire in the color department, in mind as well be with something that is only shown on a needs basis. And if you carry enough on you to the point that it doesn't fit in this cardholder then something is wrong...im just saying. More color options after the jump.
