Accessories Report | Albertus Swanepoel S/S 2010

South African born designer Albertus Swanepoel is all about classics these days, and nothing connotes that more than his S/S 2010 collection of head gear. Simple and elegant, the collection takes clear inspiration from the Mad Men era and uses a mixture of materials and embellishments to create the old-age look. Hats are structured, patterned, quality-driven, and will last you well over your years. Combined with a nice fitted suit and town coat and you will be the man about town.

Accessories Report | BBlessing A/W 09 Laptop Range

It may just be me, but it seems like I am always on the hunt for the perfect briefcase or laptop bag. And without a doubt, DC is in no shortage of either of the two. Unfortunately, the bags that I often see on the streets of DC are far from stellar and often feature worn and soggy leather, broken straps, too large and chunky, and horrid color. Thankfully, BBlessing has come to the rescue. Dropping soon by BBlessing are two perfect laptop bags for A/W 09. Available in two colors, black and brown, the bags are simple with clean lines and just the right amount of functionality. Quality intact with suede lined interior to keep your laptop and those precious documents safe, this bag couldn't get any better as seems fit for the city of DC.

Collection Report Hyden Yoo Spring 2010

Purposely or not, photography team The Supervisory has released Hyden Yoo's Spring 2010 lookbook and presented us with a collection that is one to our liking. Featuring classic menswear that has become synonymous with America as a country and icon, they offer a color palette that is light, safe, and careful. Silhouettes that are simple and clean are draped upon Ford model Joe Edney's frame and with quality present, the collection is cool, airy, and relaxed...perfect for Spring. Trousers, shorts, cardigans, and more, the collection is understated at its best. Keeping it safe isn't always a bad thing and Yoo is a clear example of that. More views after the jump.

Shoe Report | Marc by Marc Jacobs 09

Without a doubt, footwear can be rather boring and dull in Washington, DC. Is that a bad thing, not necessarily. Classic and subtle is in so Washingtonians are right on the front with that one. But by chance, if you are looking for something with a bit more flair to brace your feet, look towards Marc Jacobs. Jacobs, celebrated American designer, has debuted his Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 09 footwear range and its not for the light at heart. Gaudy in every way, the collection is large with platforms making a comeback, flashy with loud patterns and colors, and detailed. The day I see a pair of those simple platforms walking in a Government building is the day that pigs will fly. A guy can dream though, can't he. More views after the jump.

Collection Report | H&M Divided Fall 2009

H&M Divided brings us a quintessential Fall collection that offers the same affordability that we have come to love and know the brand for. With a stereotypical fall color palette of browns, tans, and muted primes, the collection offers thick knitwear, washed denim, classic outerwear, and flannels - all things we have come to associate with fall. What really excited my senses about the collection is the Minnetonka lace-up boots, something we normally don't get with menswear. And while the footwear trend has a feminine connotation and can be skeptical, H&M does it in a masculine way that is both grungy and acceptable. Clearly inspired by the mountains, that seem to be on permanent fall mode to me, the collection is expected yet lovely. What more can you ask for. More views after the jump.
