Its a rule of mine to always try to incorporate at least one vintage piece in each outfit. Though I am barely ever successful in this rule of thumb, I try, and why the hell not. Vintage pieces add character that you sometime miss from the Gap, Banana Republic, or J. Crew. They add history and give you a sense of a past life...one that you can embody. That is why I squealed like a girl on a pony when I discovered Bitching & Junkfood. Interesting name, eh. Bitching & Junkfood is a new vintage store, consisting of mostly 80s and 90s pieces that could have you embodying anyone from Madonna's virgin years to Prince on acid. Sounds like fun. Plus, every know and then they feature free items - giving them the ability to call themselves the first online store you can shop-lift from. They've already won me over.
