I wish I had found this in time for Monday night's FW Anniversary party, but with a new suit always accompanies a new occasion for it to be worn. Craig Robinson isn't a familiar name on District Cut, but thanks to this splendid find on Blackbird he has gained my attention. Starting out as a self-taught bespoke designer, he has certainly proven that he has talent, thus he started his own label back in 2001. Furthering his credentials, in 2007 Robinson was featured in the exhibition New York Fashion Now along with Sean 'Diddy' Combs, John Varvatos, Miguel Adrover, Thom Browne and others. If that doesn't prove that he has got what it takes, then nothing will. He launched his first ready-to-wear bespoke collection earlier this year, resulting in this black suit. Featuring genltemen's features like hunter’s shoulder and clean lines, it comes with a price tag of $1500.
"Easily worn as a traditional suiting option (add Craig Robinson’s Dak Top Trousers), it can also be paired with more rough and tumble workwear pieces for that on point high-low look.
