Rochambeau, a new label designed by trio Michael Venker,Joshua Cooper and Laurence Chandler makes its debut collection for Spring 2009. Rochambeau is taken from a popular Egyptian rock-paper-scissors game, which meaning reflects the trios team work with coming up with Rochambeau’s first Spring 2009 collection.
The spring 09 collection draws its inspiration from Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, which is present in many of the fresh pieces seen in their Spring 09 lookbook. Each unique garment has unexpected details and clean silhouettes that compliment their use of mixed fabrics such as cotton twill, lightweight knits, and structured silk wools.
