Outerwear Report | J. Lindeberg Rubin Waxed Cotton Jacket

I recently got an email inquiring about a jacket that bypasses dull and boring, but remains clean and interesting. While I have featured loads of clean jackets on District Cut, I imagine that this "anonymous" emailer may want something a bit more...casual - I come to this conclusion only because most of the outerwear that I feature isn't relatively casual, but more work-appropriate. In any case, waxed cotton is the perfect material that encompasses casual and clean; it also is appropriate for work, very versatile.
I have a waxed cotton trench coat that I bought from United Colors of Benetton (on sale!) that is a perfect example of the topic at hand. Furthermore, its the perfect raincoat and works relentlessly better than any other trench coat Ive ever see. Unfortunately for you, the coat is out of season.
As a part of their Autumn/Winter 2009 collection, however, J. Lindeberg has a likewise option that seems to fit the mold.
"Rubin black beat waxed cotton jacket with a slight sheen, high collar including adjustable buckle fastening, concealed zip and button fastening, epaulettes and a single shoulder shooting cape. The jacket also features concealed front pockets with an extended seam. Internally the jacket is lined with a removable black quilted J.Lindeberg gilet, which features a vertical internal chest pocket.
