Footwear Report | Billy Reid Dye Collection

Bama-based designer Billy Reid has delivered an innovative bunch for his holiday 2009 footwear. Created with an interesting process that includes stripping the suede down to the crust - tanned but unfinished and undyed skin - cutting and stitching the uppers, adding a sole—and then dip-dying the rest, it provides for a garment-dyed jean look. Quality driven to the core, its a first for the process being done in footwear and now I suspect a trend. Get the collection, exclusively, from Odin New York come November.
