New York Fashion Week | Yigal Azrouël Spring 2010

Think of it as "slacker chic", if those two words can be put together to form a clause at all. Remaining true to their unfastidious aesthetic, the collection is one that is appealing at all ends and pulls together chic pieces in a way that looks detached and effortless. Described by Yigal Azrouël as “nomadic civility,” the collection reeks of lonesomeness, if that included a closet full of pieces that would be great company. Appearing worn-in, pieces are relaxed, airy and thin, and somewhat long and distorted...and that's a description that I am pleased with. Stripes make appearances throughout while vest, long-sleeved tops, asymmetric knits, leather, blazers, and accompanying bottoms make for an interesting mix. Its the kind of style that men in DC lack and I gladly accept the task of introducing it to you
