New York Fashion Week | Y-3 Spring 2010

Proving that fashion and athleticism can be equally functional, Yohji Yamamoto continues to excel in his collaboration with ADIDAS. Traditional for a sportswear collection, the range doesn't stop there and goes above and beyond to a fashionable aesthetic that favors basics and turn them into much much more. Most notable are the mesh nets that are every bit relaxed, plaid shirts that are over-extended, and atypical scarves that are hard to figure out. While Yohji Yamamoto allows the sportswear element to shine through, make no mistake about it...this is a fashion-forward collection.
