Lookbook Report | Petrou/Man S/S 2010

Very seldom do designers strike a hit when it comes to presentation. Either the presentation is great and the collection is lackluster, or likewise. Petrou/Man seems to be immmune to this problem, much to our delight and surprise. They have stroke gold with their lookbook for their Spring 2010 collection, figuring out the perfect balance between their presentation and their collection. Presented on a canvas of avid color, scenery, abstract art, and faceless models yet the pieces do not lose themselves in the busy backdrop and remain relevant. The collection itself is creative in its own right, with asymmetric cuts and fitting, interesting uses of fabric, busy patterns, and barely there tops all mixed in with some classic menswear. Avant-garde in its most practical form.
